Their best times were with the old FW. All the set-up was done with the old one. It would make no sens to throw this away and bold the new FW.

Boullier on the new front wing: "All in all, we were very happy with its debut performance – it’s doing exactly what we expected it to do"

Kevin:"The new front wing is a different philosophy, something very positive for the future. But right now the old front wing is still faster"

Which FW did Kevin use when he did his time on the super soft? On other forums they said that was the old FW, but Kevin said that he used the new one.

Seems I need to repost this.

That has nothing to do with not favouring. As Boullier said the Wing did exactly what they expected. Whatever that means, it is positive, not negative.

"The problem is you have to bolt the parts onto the car and that takes hours to do so for me to do that tomorrow is impossible," said Button.

There must have been a lot more to the package than just a front wing.

As per F1fanatic, Magnussen used the new front wing..
The closest team to Mercedes on Friday was McLaren, thanks to Kevin Magnussen who was using a new front wing which seemed to owe a lot to Red Bull’s design. Magnussen’s performance didn’t escape Sebastian Vettel’s attention. “McLaren has made a step forward the last couple of races and the nature of the track here maybe suits them a bit better than other tracks,” he said,

As PP began on 15th of September, I wonder how they could design, simulate (CFD), test (windtunnel) and produce all those parts in only about 2 months with all these windtunnel- and cfd-time restrictions.

The width and shape of the front Anti-Rollbar has changed as well:

Something seems different about the Front Suspension, but i can't find any good Pictures. But both McLaren ran the new Engine Cover with the integrated Cannons in FP3.
