Realistically, even if he was free to move next season, there's nowhere for him to go. By the time his Mckaren contract ends, he'll be in his late 30's, and who knows, maybe he'll have begun to suffer for that, no longer the force he once was, at a time when the big teams will be fighting out to sign up the new generation; Verstappen, Sainz and co.ChemNerd76 wrote:I am pretty sure Alonso is firmly under contact for 2017. I think McLaren will absolutely be his last team. When he actually retires probably depends a lot on what happens over the winter. If pre season testing doesn't go as well as hoped, I wouldn't blame him for hanging up his helmet...
