Safe to say the imola updates have helped. Even if mercedes were both running we would have made Q3 on merit.

It's painful that Alonso is a tenth ahead of Norris going into turn 8. Norris is on the power really early coming out of turn 8, that results in Alonso being KPHs slower down til almost turn 10. By then Norris is up over 3 tenths. So Alonso loses 4 tenths from turn 8 to turn 10. Be nice understand why that is ....

Apples and oranges because Alonso was held up in traffic during Q1 last year.

Expected really. This car doesn't like bumps.

I don't recall one bad start off the line by Alonso this year.

Now the ball is on strategy team. Everything can happen tomorrow, does not matter dirty side or not.

at the past two starts in Monaco, there wasn't a single position change in the Top 10. No need to worry really.

Strategy for Lance is straight forward; Pitstop on 1st lap  .If Alonso can pass Hedjar on first lap ; AM has to copy 'Top 4' from strategy prospective.

Just superb from Alonso. What a driver.

Give this guy a team mate if you want to fight for Constructors

P6 is a great starting position, kind of hope for a boring race to maximise the points and hold off as many cars as possible.
