Rainy Day in Jerez + Pirelli is watering the Crcuit. Seems like they do the Wet Track Test today instead of Friday.

Pretty sure that's just the Ferrari - you can see the Italian flag 'piping'.

So, what's that at the back of the McLaren to both sides of the rear crash structure?

Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

Looks like attempt to replace the outlawed beam wing - barely legal I'd say!

Maybe is some kind of sensors for testing or I'm talking nonsense here? :)

Looks like they are vertical planes. Maybe to help the diffuser?

You know whats dumb? Dumb is wasting one of the 6 available test days before the first race without setting a time. Thats dumb. If you feel this is acceptable for this level, I completely disagree.
Rule number 1 of calling people "dumb", make sure you have your facts straight in your statement...otherwise it's just embarrassing...they have 12 tests days available, not 6...

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

No matter how you slice it, missing track time at this stage is a huge missed opportunity, are the teams dumb? No, are they severely time limited yes. It would appear time is so limited the cars are not completely built and run until they got to jerez. Kudos to Merc for getting ready in time for a shakedown before the test.

lol, if the beam wing is banned then surely this can't be legal. I wondered if anyone would try putting structure there, and then try and blow directly on it.
