The Williamses have failed, but it wasn't enough because others have replaced them. And since LH has woken up... ALO 10th... and thank goodness.

We've improved; we now look like a more professional team, and the effects of the new signings are starting to show... but results are still lacking.

I hope the race pace has improved further. We'll see tomorrow ...

Yep, Goood point. I think(and hope) the speed we're showing in S3 means we're gonna have low tire wear

Tomorrow we will back to this forum because...
-Williams and Sauber undercut us
-Aston panics, pits Alonso early - slow pit stop
-Gets overtaken by both Williams and Sauber
-Spends the entire race stuck in traffic
-Finishes outside the points

hahaha i hope not

Yeah p10, weird strategy as always.. Too early with the track ramp up...
But you can overtake on this track so he can fight for his first points tomorrow hopefully.
Let's not always BLINDLY blame the strategy. Alonso was a tenth slower in S1 on his final lap than he was on his Q2 lap. If he would have matched that time, he would have moved up 2 spots. If he would have moved up another tenth, he would have been neck and neck with Hamilton.

The opportunity was there at the time he ran.
We was 0.2 slower than Hamilton, so, i mean, Miami we finished 20secondes behind Hulkenberg, its a HUGE improvment, finally, we need pray to Silverstone.
Agreed.

Yeah, difficult to tell once it's finished.

Maybe he lacked some aerodynamic help from other cars, and the little improvement of 2 or 3 minutes cooler track. For sure he would have been ahead of GAS and HAD if he made the lap at the end.

But hey, fantastic lap, great job and clear improvement of the car... On similar moments in Q1 and Q2, with similar conditions, he was almost in the same laptimes as LEC, HAM, ANT, VER... A few weeks ago that'd have been impossible.

Yeah good improvement since Imola, and next updates will be from the new wind tunnel, with some tips from Adrian

Fantastic lap from Alonso once again. I guess I’d rather start p10 and be surprised by the end result than be p4 and end up blowing up an engine or getting a bad strat so let’s hope his home gp is what finally gives him points.

Hahaha
I think I'm going to recommend Mr. Stroll sign you for the team. The reason is clear: "This good man knows exactly what NOT to do."
Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

Good performance.
Both Hadjar and Gasly are usually quick on qualy but can be beaten in race.

We are getting close to be « best of the rest » again.

This is not wonderful but for once the car is finally progressing through the year and it is a very important step forward

Alonso was --- by the temperature drop at the end of Q3, like Leclerc.

Unfortunate.

When those dark clouds started coming in, I knew Alonso would not hold on to 5th place. It was still a great lap nonetheless.

Yup, the track improved massively. Everyone had much better tyres for the third sector in their second lap.

Drivers have to qualify the car themselves to be eligible to race.

Because he didn't do any free practice in Barcelona.

Now, the Stroll problem certainly didn't appear out of nowhere. Obviously they knew about the possibility and obviously they didn't want to put Drugovich in any free practice because it's obviously not in the boss's interest for someone young to appear who is better than his son.
