Alonso saying it was good all weekend, lets see what we can do tomorrow. Lance saying he was struggling with balance all weekend,

The rumours are Stroll is actually retiring due to the wrist injury.

Can we see Drugovich actually driving? Alex Palou (due to HRC)?
Maybe for Candian GP if he doesn’t recover. But both reserve drivers Drugovich and Vandroone are committed to 24h Le Mans that same weekend. They need to find a way to free one of them if Stroll issue will persist.

The f2 driver Crawford does not have yet a super licence.

Maybe find an agreement with Bottas ?

So stupid this AM team and Stroll! He felt it long time ago, then why the heck they didn't give a weekend for reserve driver??? Like this nobody can replace him on the gird, because he made the qualification.

Positive news on Stroll not starting. Surely now this must prompt long needed talks about the second seat.

The explanation re: decision to pull out after qualifying was not intelligent - the injury doesn't appear to be acute and likely chronic, and that doesn't sit well for fans of AM where it is yet another race relying on one car to finish.

You cannot know if it is acute or not. A snap in a curve and a wrist injury can result in high pain. We are not blaming the driver.

We can only blame the team as they said they know about it since 6 weeks and take action just in case something happens.

If this is the same wrist as injured 2 pre-seasons ago, it is likely acute-on-chronic & still doesn't excuse both parties from lacking the foresight to plan for either an enforced break to sort the problem out if they knew 6 weeks ago, or to have a contingency. To decide to drop out after qualifying is not presenting any party in a good light.

A Brazilian journalist said that if Aston thinks Lance won't be ready Drugovich will drop Le Mans

Alonso was --- by the temperature drop at the end of Q3, like Leclerc.

Unfortunate.
According to the official session report, Alonso and Leclerc did their laps in similar temperatures. The f1-insights hub also records the track temperature. The bulk of the cooling (from 48C peak down to 42C) had occurred before the runs of Leclerc and Alonso. I think the real time loss comes because they effectively had to do banker laps as their final run. I think ALO is quite fast here. AMR made a good step. I don't share the pessimism of others. ALO can score points without bad luck.

We have 1 set of hards and 1 set of mediums. Conventional wisdom says they've planned to use the full spectrum today. They might choose to start on the mediums... More likely they'll start on softs.
Hards are slow, they overheat, for everyone. So small chance of 2 stints on Softs.

23 seconds for a pitstop under green. They need to perform 2 stops and use 3 sets of tires, average of 21-22 laps per set. If you go for a fourth set.... about 16 laps per set, you'd need to be able to up your pace by 5 tenth a lap to make it worth it.
