Thought Stroll was going to a race sim but in the end he didn't right? No race sim according to f1debrief. So, if Alo does it tomorrow then that is good news, because that will be the best possible indication of where the car is
He did several stints in a row that in total were about a race distance but he went into the garage at the end of each one so who knows if they changed settings, refueled or whatever. It wasn't a proper, continuous race sim.
Right. Tomorrow will be very importantquincalla wrote: ↑23 Feb 2024, 01:30He did several stints in a row that in total were about a race distance but he went into the garage at the end of each one so who knows if they changed settings, refueled or whatever. It wasn't a proper, continuous race sim.
Recommend following Kemal Şengül: https://twitter.com/KemalSengulll/statu ... 05232?s=20Some parts were brought to the Aston Martin garage. These appear to be new parts.
They had already tried different things in the first two days.
For me it looks like they weren't focused on speed yesterday. Ride height was much higher in comparison to the others, McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes were sparking like crazy. We have to wait for Alonso in the afternoon.KimiRai wrote: ↑23 Feb 2024, 01:03organic could be right and Aston doesn't seem to run quite as close to the ground as other cars, for example the amount of sparks they throw looks much less than others if I'm not mistaken. Do they still have to lower the car and find more pace, or is it a conscious design choice, or was there a problem? What do you think?
There are no problem at all,car is decent, good traction good handle,no porpusing, not much bottoming because they run much higher the car as they did in Silverstone. Aston better than Mercedes for sure.
So looks like Aston might be best of the rest behind Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren, and then their engine partner and gearbox supplier Mercedes behind them.OnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑23 Feb 2024, 14:19There are no problem at all,car is decent, good traction good handle,no porpusing, not much bottoming because they run much higher the car as they did in Silverstone.
