there will be a new meeting of the F1 commission in the next days (probably on February 18th).
Roberto Chinchero, an Italian journalist don't expect any changes about it, and Fred Vasseur saids that Ferrari will not protest in the future. So, without Ferrari, the regulations will not change.

Based on the current information if the test changes then will it affect Mercedes?

we don't know. Mercedes feels safe and Toto minimized the question telling that with this "trick" they gained 1-2 cv but it must be more than that otherwise rivals will not so worried about it.

Ferrari have only said they will not make a formal protest in Melbourne. It is not related to their stance or vote next week for which all PU manufacturers are in alignment except Mercedes.

The Race
MERCEDES
A standout feature of watching the Mercedes trackside is that, as the test progressed, there was nothing particularly standout about it. That’s a big positive because even when the laptimes were fast, it rarely looked as difficult as most of the other cars.

At Turn 10 it didn’t catch the eye or the ear in the way the Red Bull does by going down through the gears quite so aggressively, or having the same rotation. But it looked and sounded neat and tidy, moving on well from a sometimes trickier opening day when its drivers had the occasional moment, as most did at some point.

The end of the test is when it stood out most. Watching at Turn 11 during a late Kimi Antonelli long run, it was striking just how confident and aggressive he seemed to be.

Antonelli was comfortable opening up the corner wider than anyone else over the outside kerb, and turned in sharply and committed every time. The car complied well and looked good all the way to the exit, which definitely couldn’t be said for some others.

Obviously they were not pushing. But having seen the cars on TV and especially Kimi's onboard, the car looks calm and turns very well with rear being coherent with those turns. I don't remember having seen a Mercedes car since W11 that did so well. Hope it remains that way when it's pushed to the absolute limit.

Maybe the lifting before turns makes the car less aggressive going into the corners that allow neat behaviour. But the Ferrari looked a bit handful and McLaren didn't push at all. But Red Bull had similar characteristics to Mercedes. Hope this team have a good year.

What he is talking about? this is racing one to one in my book, you downshift hard and brake simultaneously. They are not with the Prius going to super market in an f1 car.
I think the youngsters haven't this info lol.

Stalinist is quite unfair... Zak made the correct calls... The results speaks for itself.

Ok fair I mean Stalinist as in ruthless not Stalinist as in quasi-random accidentally hitting good people too. Point is I was complimenting Brown for making the right decisions to turn Mclaren around.
