Interesting... Definitely losing most of the time in S3 all the way from the braking point of Hangar Straight... Nevertheless, S2 looks very competitive and that spells well for the race

not sure what to make of that. One from quali would be better. That shows sainz getting on the brakes early on a few occasions. Doesn't show anything consistent. Some slow corners we're slower ,some RP is slower. Maybe the wind playing a part.
Thought it was interesting information regardless... I do have a feeling that Mclaren runs on very low power modes during FP1 and FP2 based on how big of a jump they have been making between Friday’s and Saturday’s... Probably (hopefully) saving engine mileage for this compressed season... The first engine is the one that is the most strained since it is used for Practice, Qualifying and the Race... Once a second engine is introduced in the pool, they will use their available engine in FP1 and FP2, if they are running it on the low side to extend mileage, that’s an smart move.

The car doesn’t look like it has a lot of drag, but in the last few races, they seem to be consistently far from the top times on the speed traps.

Pretty sure RBR aren't happy about this picture getting out ...

Image look at the diffuser opening at that back.

I must admit I don't remember ever seeing a pic like this.

Still though there are parts on the inside where photos can't reach. How did they copy those?

On the inside of what? The brakes? In 2019 buying brakes was allowed, and they were buying brakes from Mercedes, therefore they would have had access to the inside too.

Anyway, this is not the thread to keep discussing Racing Point.

I don't know how "common knowledge" this stuff is but you can clearly see the shape of the holes that feed up into the next diffuser level.

Yeah, little bit better than I was expecting in all honesty. Would take that as a qually result all day long.

Yes much better. Was worried after the first runs as Gasly in sector 3 on mediums too was about 0.3s up on us. But didn’t improve at all going onto the softs. I wonder if it was fuel load related. So hard to read into the times.
Car looks extremely good in the aero sections. Much better than renault and compared to yesterday. Looking forward to quali!

Much better than yesterday definately and the upgrades seem to making us cover up that ground. Let's see now what happens in the Qualifications.

So far Mclaren has not done very good Qualification laps. They could go faster than that and definately faster than Ferrari, Renault and be closer to the Racing Points. One thing that I wonder though. Are Mercedes really legal? Considering what is happening with rule bending and loopholes are they really legal or is the FIA hiding something? We have seen last year Ferrari having an illegal engine that was legal back then. That makes me question the whole organisation. Why do I have a feeling that Mclaren is the only one from the top 4 teams that is playing by the rules?
