Thought it was interesting information regardless... I do have a feeling that Mclaren runs on very low power modes during FP1 and FP2 based on how big of a jump they have been making between Friday’s and Saturday’s... Probably (hopefully) saving engine mileage for this compressed season... The first engine is the one that is the most strained since it is used for Practice, Qualifying and the Race... Once a second engine is introduced in the pool, they will use their available engine in FP1 and FP2, if they are running it on the low side to extend mileage, that’s an smart move.diffuser wrote:not sure what to make of that. One from quali would be better. That shows sainz getting on the brakes early on a few occasions. Doesn't show anything consistent. Some slow corners we're slower ,some RP is slower. Maybe the wind playing a part.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑31 Jul 2020, 19:54Interesting... Definitely losing most of the time in S3 all the way from the braking point of Hangar Straight... Nevertheless, S2 looks very competitive and that spells well for the race

The car doesn’t look like it has a lot of drag, but in the last few races, they seem to be consistently far from the top times on the speed traps.
