Sauber showing interest for MSC..........lets see what happens........

Wow, huge congratulations! The biggest self pat on the back I have seen here!Raptor22 wrote:Raptor22 wrote:I am wondering if there is perhaps a different plan....
Consider that Peter Sauber only came out of retirement to save his team after it was unceremoniously dropped by BMW. SO what if Schumacher plans to race for Sauber with a view to buy the team?.... He would likely bring in VAG as an engine supplier. He is a strong enough brand to attract the right sponsors and get the backing to secure the teams future...
He won't be inheriting the pig sty Prost did when he agreed to take over Ligier....
Just like Schumi's comeback, you heard it hear first
Well, the only thing that makes sense to me would be Ferrari, but again I think that would be a terrible decision for Schumacher as it is Alonso's team. The main problem with the musical chairs is that Perez got promoted from a medium car to a top car. I'd half been thinking in my head that Hamilton to MGP could imply Rosberg to McLaren - which I think would be great for both drivers.FoxHound wrote: Maybe it was Schumacher who was eyeing a seat elsewhere?
.... your right but for Formula 1 will be great to have another year a guy with 7 WDC but for him i'm not sure!!! ....if he go to Sauber i hope he will perform well there but i have doubts.... i can't see Sauber next year at same level they are now.elf341 wrote:If schumacher does drive for another team, e.g. Sauber - then I think it highlights what a huge mistake schumacher made when letting his 2013 option expire. If he truly did want to drive for another year, he would have exercised his option, I cannot think of a logical reason why he would want to gamble especially with all the Hamilton rumours floating about. We know he had an option, as Haug said so last year. In fact, when interviewed at the start of the year, Haug stated that if Schumacher wanted to continue, then he could.
No, it's obvious that Schumacher turned up at the Magny Cours test as Singapore was his decider, if the car suddenly made the leap to be on the level of the McLaren/Ferrari/Red-Bull/Lotus, then he would continue. It didn't, and was still a second a lap down. Schumacher decides to call it quits.
I'm as sad as anyone else about Schumacher, but it's also clear to me that I want to see Schumacher succeed in a Mercedes, but that is not going to happen. And Schumacher would be very masochistic to drive a Sauber next year with James Key no longer there.

So where do you stand now that it has come to light Schumacher didn't sign, and let the sign on date lapse?
I recall you calling brawn and co "backstabbers"? =D>
yea but maybe he's wrong? will be hard to step over when he know could fight for Championship if w04 will perform.Vasconia wrote:Michael is not an stupid guy, well he believed all the false promises that Ross gave to him, but he is not stupid. If he has had so many doubts to sign a new deal with Mercedes it was simply because he didnt like what he was seeing inside the team. Someday we will know all the rubbish around MGP, and more than one will be surprised/shocked.
Schumacher is the most commited driver I have ever seen so there must be some serious reasons, and his driving ability with 43 years is not one of them.

If he will remain for another year i hope Mercedes will fail
Andrew Benson is convinced Schumacher isn't going to Ferrari. He said on twitter he spoke to a senior source at Ferrari who rubbished the idea. But in the silly season what does that really mean? I cannot believe Schumacher hasn't at least made a few phone calls to his old team.schumifan wrote:are we to believe that he is out of ferarri hopes then?
