If the RB19 is so similar to the RB18, then I wonder why we haven’t seen renders or any good photos yet. What’s there to hide?
The same as last year. Another championship winning car by a country mile

I wouldn't be so confident with the noises coming from Ferrari

To be fair it come from Mercedes aswell. All were hyping their car up pre season.

Guess we will see how it plays out I guess. First few races we will have a good idea.

I must have missed something then? Do they really have a new strategy team?

Marko said everything is going to plan. The car was even early. They are at min weight, and presumably have correlation from the shakedown.

I suspect they will an upgrade package already for the 1st race. The car was done 2-3 weeks before pre-season. The factory wasn't just asleep. They will have moved on to the next thing.

A minor point of note. Red Bull's WT hour reduction sentence will be cut short by 2 weeks due to the mandatory 14 day summer break where no team may enter the windtunnel.
This rule is implemented by Article 21.8 of the FIA F1 sporting regulations: "All competitors must observe a shutdown period of fourteen (14) consecutive days during the months of July and / or August."

Since Max isn't driving the car at Saturday and Marko said everything's prepared and going well, I suppose Red Bull won't have last time upgrades (or at least major upgrades) like last year on Bahrain testing

That's exactly what I gathered from it too. With max having Thursday the entire day we can probably assume the car will be bahrain race-ready by the start of the test

In '22 they only had 1 day for using the race-ready upgrades which was not ideal. Doubt that was ever the plan.

Probably a lot of data gathering and configuration tweaks on the Thursday when Max can give his opinion on the feel/balance etc of the car, then can introduce them on the Friday morning for Sergio to have a feel and Max's opinion on the afternoon.

Seems Red Bull have been on track in Bahrain today using the RB18. Two Facebook reels so far.

Wondering if they're exploring the state of the track, gathering data and tuning their systems before a possible filming day tomorrow.

I guess it would be quite valuable to have direct comparison with the old car and the new. Same kerbs, same tarmac, same conditions, same pu modes.
