Why would RB drop the path they have been following for 2 years and adopt the Mercedes overbite/midwing? The inlet will be on top, following the path of the last 2 years, moving it futher and futher upwards. In these crappy pictures it is obscured by the mirror and mirror mount. The NACA duct style inlet is between the mirror and cockpit edge. It is the biggest underbite ever.
RB did not carry the RB18 philosophy into the RB19 by choice. They were compelled because they had so little windtunnel time. That's why the RB19 was so similar.
This "concept" or whatever it is we are seeing has to be their platform for the next 2 years and was there one chance to work in any big changes to this era of car that the RB19 could not utilize. That may be why they have shifted slightly, because there is more potential. I do find it ironic that Adrian Newey was concerned about having been too conservative when there are clearly several significant detail changes.
