Oscar Piastri mega on brakes...
This!! Good post!

Its pretty clear from the on-boards. I see some posters saying "McLaren is on rails!" lol. On-board credibility gone out the window instantly!
Red Bull is still the fastest car. They started the weekend terribly but they recovered extremely well, as usual.
The car is not at its best but enough to be competitive in quali. McL was probably the best car yesterday but Hulk tow allowed Max to reach P1.

Incredible data guys, thanks a lot. Telemeery and the onboards show that Max braked significantly later than Piastri in pretty much every braking zone. So, Piastri having the best car under braking, braked the earliest on a track that requires, nice. Imagine if Max, who's known for being relatively early braker, had that Mclaren. LOL

Just look at the onboard you can see piastri's car is much more calm and planted. Verstappen is wringing the neck out of that RB, with corrections in nearly every corner. Just because mclaren is a few kmh slower in the one 200+ high speed corner doesn't make it "poor" in that area. Analysis is bogus in its interpretation of data.

Even the W10 was looking nervous and required quite a lot of work behind the wheel from Lewis and Bottas. It was miles faster than the SF 90 which looked calm and planted :D The only real source is the stop watch and telemetry. Both the RB20 and McL were able to produce similar lap times, with the drivers exploiting the strengths of each chassis. Of course, we don't know where the RB20 would be with Piastri driving it and Max on the McL, but that's a pointless argument.

The only thing I was able to spot by watching onboards is that the Sauber had insane amount of understeer in qualifying.

W10 looked great. Anyways, always pick the car which gets the same lap time without breaking a sweat, usually means there is more time in it.

You mean the Mclaren seems "lazier?"

The data shows that the Redbull has more downforce in the corners, and Max is known as an early braker, so he is going to to look more lively in the corners! And it's qualifying, they are all wringing the necks of their steeds. The cars are at their limits in their own way, whether braking, traction, cornering etc.

As predicted. Red bull setup for the race. Max is gone. He should win by 20 seconds barring a safety car.

Perez screws up again. Give the seat to Tsunoda already.
