I say no, after reading this:

“I have had three nice years with the team which unfortunately did not go as well as we all would have wanted on the sporting side. I wish Lewis well and for the team to achieve the success we worked so hard for in the build-up. I would like to thank the team for their trust and all the guys for their unconditional commitment. I will now concentrate on the next races.”

Very little to go on with regards to retirement. If that was the natural decision, surely it would've been out a long time ago?

Why being "humiliated" by Mercedes and Hamilton ? He surely know the story since a few days. The point was clear - if Hamilton sign, he retires, if not, maybe he will help the team and do one more year, but I believe he knew it is time to stop his career as a racing driver.
While doing that, though he can stop with his head held high considering his performances this season.

Good luck to Hamilton, but I fear for him he's done the wrong sporting decision - this team remains a midfield team at the moment.

Like i said before. They really have no respect for Michael at all. The earlier flirtings with other drivers earlier this season. You cant talk or act to a Michael like this.

If i was him i even wouldnt finish the season and would stay home with my family for the rest of the season.

Nico Rosbeef was really happy after P5 in Singapore you could see that in his videoblog. It also was the first time he told the media he hoped that Michael would stay for another year because they made the most of it together.

Strange, because everyone know they hate each other.

Schumacher didnt deserve this kind of humaliaton.

Yes he will; his manager was in talks with Sauber (confirmed).

F1 is a cruel sport: Schumacher can't stop Hamilton going to Merc. However, what I find disgusting is the way this matter has unfolded. Merc spewed lie after lie, I'm glad Schumacher is leaving. Both he and NR deserve much better. Is NR now automatically number 2? If so, he should consider his options. Merc have short-sold bother their drivers. Schumacher is seemingly not wanted nor deserves to be driving for such a sub-standard team.

Have fun Lewis, it'll be a rocky ride that's for sure.
man don't get me wrong but Micheal is FORMULA 1 how he would do to a team like Sauber? if he still wants to continue in F1 probably announce until today and talk with McLaren because he know Hamilton comes to Merc.

BTW: can you show source?

Awful day. Call me stupid, but I want to believe that he will join another team, yes its irreal but its my last hope.

Michael, once again, shows how big he is, not a bad word against the team, even in this terrible moment.

Mercedes AMG, I wish you a terrible season, end of the game.

you cant blame mercedes for taking hamilton over schumacher though.

one is at the end of his career one still has along way to go.

its just pretty shocking how it all came about and i expect bernie sweetened the pot with mercedes if they took hamilton.

its probably why they decided to sign

Yeah, I know, but this was Merc GP, the silver Arrows, the people that got him in in the 1st place. the whole idea was to take the BIG manufacturer and move them to the front( or try keep them there after 2009), but that didnt happpen.

What would you choose.
SIlver arrows (all be it they suck now)
Or Sauber...based on all history.

For me, its pretty clear cut...Merc, despite the last 3 years

Doesnt say a word about retiring. He is looking at options. I think he will go for Sauber. Peter Sauber himself said he would welcome Schumi. THAT would be a full circle.
Shame on Mercedes for handling the situation this way. He deserved so much more.
Forza Michael. Forza Jules

As a fan, I'd prefer if he drove for a team that actually wanted him. Merc do not from what I've seen over the past few years.

if he still wants to continue in F1 probably announce until today and talk with McLaren because he know Hamilton comes to Merc.

Why would he hold talks with McLaren? It's pretty obvious it'd be a long shot and a tad unrealistic.

How about Schumacher to Williams? That could be a strong move for both parties involved.

As far as schumachers announcement goes .. Lets wait till this weekend for an announcement from his side. If vettel is to go to Ferrari in 2014 ... A one year drive at ferrari for Schumacher to sign off his career where he built his legacy just seems right.
