The sight and excitement of Max driving and winning in a Ferrari must be felt across Italy. I think he will make a very good brand ambassador to auto manufacturers.
The two drivers starting the race ahead of Max were Frank Stippler (multiple time Nurburgring 24h winner, including 2024), and Christian Krognes (official GT3 lap record holder on the exact layout they raced). There were many more professional GT3 drivers in the field, and also amateurs further back. The field was not as deep as a proper 24h race, but Max was comparing times to some strong professional drivers at the front. For reference he pulled over 60 seconds on Stippler in the two stints they drove simultaneously. That was pure pace. Max’s best lap time was 2 seconds off the lap record, and 4,5 seconds faster than the second fastest lap from another driver (Stippler).Jurgen von Diaz wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025, 07:23What was the skill level in the race? Have these drivers raced on the Nürburgring before with these cars?
