It's like an inverted floor. Oddly, that makes the most sense of all.

The pinch just before the throat at the base of the waterslide is genius. Bernoulli effect sucks down more air from above to join airflow from the beginning of the water slide. Increases volume and velocity like nobody’s business. That Dan Fallows knows his .
