Merc seriously?
We've had 11 crap races and when the car potentially could be worth something, then you'll decide to place a young talent. What about the 11 races before, this team in 2022: can't get my head around it #-o
He has picked the best track to do it with miles of run offs and we have stable weather conditions that will be bone dry all weekend. The worst place to do this would be a street circuit and/ or a weekend with variable weather conditions.

I'm more interested to know where everyone lese has picked their time off especially the top 2 in the standings.

The teams should be able to run the cars as low as possible here. Whether that gives Merc an advantage i dont know, as others will run low as well.
For Sure!!

Must admit this is the best track to trial young drivers, little-to-no chance of a wreck.
They have to have young driver tests under the rules, better here than most placed
Yes, I understand but it's frustrating that they didn't do it when the car was lacking some serious pace like Baku
They were still trying to figure out how to improve the car - as they'd been using Hamilton's experience up to that point to run strange set ups, it would have been strange to suddenly drop in an inexperienced driver in an evil car. No one benefits from that. By allowing him to try the car now that it is getting better, he gets to learn and the team still get useful data.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Hamilton come to F2 and will say, all settings changed. What that guy did to my care. We heard from him last year as well. Joke apart, I would like to see P1 for Hamilton here to show Mercedes still win the 2022 WDC and WCC.

It means the car is fixed then. Good news.

Or it means they run him with the old spec jus in case of damage?
Possibly the last race they will bring this spec, and have a new one standing by?
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Looking quite weak this weekend so far. I guess the upgrades they brought didn't work. Either that or Ferrari has taken a huge step forward. And just like that, it's back to square one.

Maybe they can salvage something in the race with Sainz's 10 places grid penalty and Perez looking no where rn. I think the race pace is not that bad compared to RB/Ferrari.

I told you. Can’t polish a turd. The car is fundamentally flawed. Boat anchor aero just like I’ve been saying for months now.

The race pace will be monstrous. Tyre degradation will be high so don't count them out yet! She is slow in Q but she is gentle on the tyres.

That's true. Kimi won 1 race in '11 and '12 each because that Lotus was so good on tires.

2012 was made possible by Hamilton retiring and Vettel having to start from the pit lane
Kim wasn't in 2011 ?
