Haven't seen that on autosport live feed, thank you...

maybe they are doing some aero test or something...
No, no, I'm not worried or anything, just asking since there wasn't any info on them... And if something was wrong, I have no doubt there would news about it all over the place...

Mercedes bragging about N1 @MercedesAMGF1: "Well would you look at that; top spot for @nico_rosberg with just under 2hrs left here at #Jerez today. He's ramping it up... #F1"

Then 1 min later, Raikkonen top spot...

Rosberg on a 10 lap stint, that's encouraging. Far more important then laptimes is able to do a stint without cooling problems.
Irvine:"If you don't have a good car you can't win it, unless you are Michael or Senna. Lots of guys won in Adrian Newey's cars, big deal. Adrian is the real genius out there, there is Senna, there is Michael and there is Newey. They were the three great talents."

Mercedes and Ferrari have done quite some multiple lap stints, but I fear Renault is much more down on that count.
Timing links are a bit unreliable for testing, but some are listed here  http://www.f1technical.net/forum/viewto ... =1&t=17757

Autosport commentary page is the most useful, they gave the following summary an hour ago:
13:07 So, with just under three hours to go, a quick summary of the positions and laps completed so far:

1 Button, (McLaren) 1m27.556s, 32 laps
2 Perez, (Force India) 1m28.376s, 27 laps
3 Rosberg, (Mercedes) 1m29.231s, 24 laps
4 Bottas, (Williams) 1m37.762s, 17 laps
5 Raikkonen, (Ferrari) 1m38.272s, 16 laps
6 Vettel, (Red Bull) 1m38.320s, 8 laps
7 Gutierrez, (Sauber) 1m41.798s, 33 laps
8 Ericsson, (Caterham) no time, 1 lap
Autosport are reporting that Vettel has gone home!
Hopefully Mclaren has mounted the suspension the correct way up this time...

Engine is not Renault's problem it's Red Bull Renault problem. Since they are a works team, like Mercedes, Ferrari, with all the benefits they are as a whole responsible. That's what you get when you let Newey influence engine design ;-)

It looks like the majority of the drivers are struggling to get to grips with the amount of torque these new engines are producing, which begs the question.. how much can the teams be learning from an aero point of view if the cars aren't being driven anywhere near to their potential yet?

21 consecutive laps for the Merc cut short because of a red flag caused by another Renault powered car breaking down.
