Williams FW40 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

APP Tech rims (same as Torro Rosso)!

APP Tech forging process:
http://www.apptech-forgedwheels.com/pro ... ng-process

"
The confidential nature of motorsport design prohibits the publication of specific details. However, needless to say the approach can differ somewhat when compared to road wheels, and as such a high level of experience is needed to comply with the demanding load cases applied to the wheel, especially when working with Magnesium.
Additionally, production from Magnesium requires strict materials control to correctly process the material and produce a durable end product.

Looks just like the one they used during testing. Maybe those triangles are a bit different in shape

R deflector is different from Barcelona testing!
The other changes mentioned by Matthew Somerfield‏ looks the same as the old ones. At least for me :)

R is slightly different (if any). But yes, I was referring on photo above my previous post which is basically same as in testing

Damn, I was convinced this wasn't a cooling outlet. Who was the one who correctly stated it? You can cash in an apology.

The tea tray area is more and more interesting, the flow at the side of the centre duct/stay seems to be channeled through some holes/vents under the floor.
