How many times has that happened before ? Driver, Car , Engine all made in 1 country ? Lewis/Mercedes , Lewis/MclarenMercedes , Was the Brawn partly designed/built in Japan ? I think it was only the original engine (Honda) that was japan, before they switched to the Brixworth unit. So Jenson/Brawn/Mercedes. Hunt/mclaren/DFV

Masi has been removed then. What a weird guy he was. Also radio between the FIA and teams have been banned and unlapping procedures behind the safety car reassessed.

So that's admitting it was a total mess and all 3 of those things that need to change all lead to Versappen winning the title. He should be stripped of the title immediately.

Its too late for that I feel, but it certainly makes it look like Mercedes would have won the championship in the court room if they wanted to. They obviously chose not to so it didnt make F1 look even more foolish than the FIA did themselves.

2021 will always be remembered as one of those years *

I think the reason they didn't is because The FIA suggested they would void Abu Dhabi (and that would still mean Max was Champion) then that would mean they burned the bridge with the FIA and hurt the sport.

Since there may have been no way to get a result change, the compromise to work with the FIA with assurance of changes, maybe was the option they thought was best.

Yeah makes sense , to which they should have said, "ok we understand , when races are screwed up for the sake of the show, we should delete the race result from the standings. While were on the subject, lets go back to Belgium. That one needs to go too. "
