Why didn’t they double stack or pit Alonso first to maximise positions instead of Stroll since Alonso was ahead by a lot? Seems rather odd to effectively swap car positions and gain nothing except Stroll is now in Alonso’s position.

You can't see anything on the onboards. They were using Alonso's Helmet cam for a while and you see nada. Then Alonso bring up his hand and wipes the screen and we can see again for 2 or 3 seconds.

Because Stroll was at the back, he had nothing to loose and they took risk. They didn't need to take risk with Alonso. Alonso fell behind just because they pitted 1 lap late. Nobody knows how hard it's going to rain or that their is gonna be a safety car.

Alonso also just did the same thing as Gasly and Hamilton.
