And that's a wrap on the tests.

Final day lap times:

Hamilton - 1:16.759 :(

Leclerc - 1:14.971 8)

Of course these times don't mean anything - different tires etc. would I be saying this if ham was ahead

Hopefully both drivers have found use in the track time and dusted off the winter cobwebs. This is the calm before the storm now - in a few weeks it's all gonna start kicking off in a good way
Those lap times don’t mean much. Just take a look at the rear wing Leclerc had compared to Lewis - he was running a high downforce setup, which changes everything about the car's performance.

Of course I struggle. I just don’t quit.

That's a completely different car mate.

SF-24 was used for the Pirelli test, which is where the lap times are from, both driver set those times in the SF-24, with the low downforce setup. The car in the image is the SF-23, which was used for the TPC test, completely unrelated to the lap times.

Didn't think I had to mention it on a “technical” forum, but please stop looking at lap times from a tyre test, where Pirelli select the compounds and run plans for the teams.

It’s not El_KaPpa’s fault…

I have no idea why Pirelli would release lap times from 2026 prototype tyre test in a Bastardised car running a sub-optimal setup with an engine that won’t even exist, at a track they will not race at, in the first place

Sorry guys, I jumped the gun thinking I was onto something fresh. Saw some Ferrari photos in my feed and thought they were new, but turns out they’re 6 days old from the TPC test. Still finding my way in the red gallery! #-o

Can’t wait for the proper car launches. Even after all these years, the beginning of the season always makes me giddy with excitement.

They mean its surprising that the SF-25 is going to be revealed after the event in London and not at the shakedown the day after

It's prototype tyres for '26 being tested with modified 2024 cars. Not much you can read into it, for
either driver. End of Qualifying at the first race of the season is when you can start to see the lay of the land between Lewis and Leclerc.

So what is the purpose of the event in London? I thought that they had to present real cars there. Will they show SF24 in this years livery?

Real cars…no chance. Just liveries, and new sponsors. A typical cringy F1 show event is to be expected.

Another revenue stream for LM and FOM. What is being sold has never been a concern, as long as they can sell it. They are completely taking advantage of those who have a FOMO. To those people, you can sell ice in the winter for 60 euros a pop.

I'll say that F1 launch season has never always been about the cars. Some teams just drop renders, others have a whole season launch with live audience, new livery on an old car, others actually reveals the cars. Yes, it is annoying for enthusiast level viewers, but for a big portion of the viewer count, it changes nothing.

Ferrari will show the real car the day after, to me that is all that matters.
