A ne­w exhaust layout for this year. I think it is used by all mercedes teams because at least in the mclaren it looks also like this.

It is newer in road cars and the high production volume micro finishing is impressive.

Unusual slits on the fuel tank above the radiator. Looks like slotted strut framing channel with drop-in nuts. Adaptable anchor points? If so, gives more options for bodywork revisions.

Note the logos on the jacket of the engineer in the video. I wonder if this motor or a variant is the Mercedes MGU-K.

disc-shaped motors have been around 'for ever'
they are really good at being disc-shaped

the motor company is owned by Mercedes
isn't it apparent from images of the F1 car what its MG configuration is ?

the disc motor is inherently inferior in response (because its inertia is higher) ....
but it seems the PU goes eg from 12000 rpm to 10500 rpm and vice-versa in a few milliseconds (the 8 speed gearboxes)

I can't see why this form factor would be efficient in an F1 car.
