they are using wet weather tyre to do their installation lap. Most team do that to preserve the slick tyres for testing.

Williams have been focusing a lot of reliability the past few days (217 laps in 2 days), and now they are starting to show their pace. I am starting to have good feeling for the Williams now.

That was 1 Lap medium tyre Ran by Pastor.So he can go around 1-21.19 to 1-22.1 on the Soft tyres. Assuming that was a qualifying run,It still is a Good Lap though. Last year's Pole time was 1-20 odd. If Williams comes around 1.5-2s off pole time is still a VERY good effort.

Autosport says Williams 1-22.6 odd was Set up on a 1 Lap Soft tyre run. So nothing extraordinary in there. If that was qualy run they are atleast 2s down from the top.

Also we don't know anything about car weights. It may be the case the Williams were running a flat out qualifying lap. Or maybe not!

Certainly good to see them doing lots of laps again, but also getting the times down.

Massa did 10 timed laps out of which 7 are in the 1:25s region. Shows good consistency. Though no idea which tyres he is on.

That was for the 1-22.391 not the 1-22.6 odd lap.

Anyways I dont think Lap times will be quicker than last year.
