McLaren MCL35

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Ok once again, this is not the Thread to post Laptime Charts without any very specific technical reasoning.

Most consistent flowvis I've seen from McLaren in a long time. It looks like everything is working as intended which means they can get to work.

Mclaren already up and running fast from the first lap! The car looks quite good on track...i've been watching F1 TV all morning long and already from the first laps with Hard tires the car looked planted! Renault and Haas in comparison for example look quite oversteery! =D>

In terms of lap time it doesn't really matter right now! But they look quick out of the box, ready to pounce...setting quick lap times using the hard tire is a good sign i believe...it's the direction the big teams take where they use mostly the hard tires from the start of testing! Maybe that shows they have a bit of confidence...whereas look at the rest of the midfield...they are all using softer tires!

This picture clearly shows how they tend to direct the airflow via the undercut to the rear. Beautiful!
