Ferrari SF-25

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Anyone know what this handle looking thing is on the SF-25? I see it in the launch images but can't really see it on any of the images of the actual cars from any of the GPs.

It`s not a handle thing, it`s just a white stipe along the bottom edge of the undercut creating an illusion. There`s also a white stripe on the ouside lower edge of the side impact protection cover.

Renders, which this image is, pretty much always look a bit "dodgy". Use real life photos of cars from on the road...

You're looking at the wrong thing. Maybe it isn't as clearly visible in the render, so I've attached another picture of the SF-25 from quali at Monza.

Seems more like some kind of a cover for an outlet rather than a handle. 🤔

My apologies, it`s just an access cover for plugging in a laptop! Pretty sure every car on the grid has one...

Ferrari had 5 different cooling configurations with the top outlet and louvers

Has this been part of the asymmetric cooling before? Bigger vent on the left side than the right.
