I think it is fair for Charles to be metered in his optimism on the upgrades that are coming. I think the team were slightly burnt by the upgrade hype around the Imola 24' package, and we turned up this season with a non-performing rear suspension.

Until FP2 in Silverstone, I will hold hope. The speculation around efuel/biofuel for next year's PU is a little concerning. If Ferrari thinks that Shell's fuel offering will leave them lacking, then they might as well keep developing well into 25' as win's might be harder to come by in 26'.

Yea i think its a reasonable response, no way for him to know right now how much performance the new rear suspension along with the other upgrades will bring and other teams wont just be sitting still either, but its good that the timeline for them seemingly keeps decreasing.

When AR first mentioned Silverstone there was a big question mark over timeline. Silverstone timeline might be the overtime one, but we can hope.

Any championship placement will be well and truly meaningless by then, and it's simply gonna be a case of building confidence in their analysis and engineering processes. They can take their time with it, there's really no rush outside of perhaps media/sponsor pressure.

Exactly that. This isn't a sport where you cower down at your failures. You have to learn to take your lumps and most importantly - get over them. Confidence is not just something drivers need.

Yes, I may have misinterpreted the AR article. I thought "promoted at Imola" meant they were used after FP1, although you could read it that they weren't used after. Is there a source that the update ducts weren't used after FP1 imola?
