Good car, good drivers, good team, very good job.
Ferrari engine cars 1-2-5-6-10-11, great job by Ferrari?
But I see a flaw in the new regulation, it is helping faster cars drag slower cars along just like Carlos dragged Hamilton along for about 10 laps.
And being in front is not necessarily a good thing, just see how LECLERC dragged Verstappen along. These track help use because the second DRS ZONE was closer to the first one. In another track Vestappen would have moved away from Leclerc and after overtaken Leclerc on the first DRS zone

Leclerc might have changed his deployment approach if the DRS zones were different.

Faster cars dragging slower cars along is a positive from the show point of view

Leclerc didn't even use 8th gear during max attack. Because of that, speed difference was exaggerated.

So glad ferrari are back on top and that too with a 1-2!

Anyone felt offended when David croft was imitating ferrari engineer's accent in live TV. I mean how offensive is that

By the looks of it, these cars are not going to be using 8th gear much at all.

He had like zero battery. Used it all up trying to get out of drs. He was recharging mid straight.

I've been critical of Leclerc but what a drive that was. Flawless. Great start of the season.

Haha, no. we don't get offended that easily. He's just a bit jealous and upset.

Congratulations to the entire team. I'm so happy for them all, especially Binotto! Great drives, great TEAM! I feel like Ferrari were one of the FEW teams without any issues. No Brake heating, no power issues, no slow pitstops, no poor strategy, no tire degradation issues. Great job! =D>

Now that my excitement is cooling down... It's one race. One down. It's a long season and the other teams WILL get their s**t together. Let's keep it going!

Essere Ferrari!!

If Carlos can get more from the SF-7, before the first practice, I'm predicting another 1-2 this weekend. This has been my view since the first test in Barcelona

Battery wasn't empty, but he sure wanted to make sure it was full by the main straight. In all attempts by VER, LEC lifted, left the door open and then proceeded to re-pass in the next DRS zone. LEC can't possibly deplete the battery in a single straight, while VER uses battery deployment in every straight with minimal recharge, and obviously in quali they deploy all lap.

Dude, go watch leclerc's onboard when he came out of pits for the first time. He used whatever was left in the battery on his outlap in an attempt to make 1s gap before drs detection line, then he had nothing to defend with on the main straight. That's why Verstappen was coming at him with 45 km/h advantage. Leclerc couldn't do anything at that point but watch verstappen fly past him. He was smart second time round to just let him have inside line and then outdrag on him down to T4, but in both cases he had no charge left for main straight.

He even tells Verstappen as much during his pen interview after the race

"struggling with SOC (state of charge - battery)"

So Leclerc was deliberately slowing down according to what he says in his interview, to let max take the DRS detection point first. He did his over and over.
