The pictures of the Williams FW47 at Silverstone shows a rear pull rod. I Guess the finally made the jump ....Wonder if they're using Merc 2024 or 2025 rear suspension? For the obvious implications for AM F1.

It seems to me that it is the same suspension as last year's Mercedes, if someone makes the comparison we can see it. And I tell you, maybe it's better this way. If it remains the same suspension at least It doesn't end like last year which was communicated too late on an aerodynamic concept expressed in another type of suspension

The same speeches I heard in another blue team. From experience, honestly, these reasonings are useless and only lead to defeats. In 2023 I remember well how almost all the fans said that Mercedes Redbull and Ferrari were on another level compared to the others, so they could fight for the maximum 4th place. Bam, Aston Martin and then McLaren destroyed this theory. Who thought McLaren was fighting for the world championship? I bet you were saying the same thing, happy with 4th place, then the year after for 3rd place etc. It doesn't work like that, F1 is not a mathematical game, you have to win right away, who tells you that Newey will leave the team tomorrow? Who tells you that Aston Martin won't be first force tomorrow? So enough, even Cowell said something similar: why can't we be McLaren? Why? Enough with these low ranking goals , I'm not happy about a 5 seater and neither are Alonso and those from Aston Martin, believe me

Why doesn't every team simply aim to be three seconds faster than everybody else?

Dreaming big only matters so much. At the end of the day, reality is sobering and matters a lot more. Having a *realistic* plan to use 2025 as a springboard for greater things makes a ton of sense, and there's no shame in accepting that AM is not going to be a championship contender right away.

Thinking otherwise is both delusional, disrespects the level of competition, and only leads to disappointment and bitterness when such super lofty goals inevitably fail to materialize. Most all great rags-to-riches stories in sport come from building up an organization over time, not overnight, miraculous success.

I don't think I said that Aston Martin will fight for the world championship next year. I don't think so. However, you can't say that we will be happy if you finish 5th next year. Aston has everything, structure, technicians and organization to be a team aiming for the world championship, you can't be satisfied with arriving 5th, even if you won't fight this year, you can't celebrate until you start winning. However, the miraculous success happened as McLaren was far behind at the beginning of 2023 and is already fighting for the world championship, so this theory is also denied.

I think if Honda PU is not at a significant disadvantage (I'll be surprised if its not), then Im fairly confident AM will be very competitive and towards the front no later than second half of 2026.
