You mean he flat spotted the tire?
Yep, it was fun to watch. It's still racing at the back. Engineer kept osay " Ok this is the final attempt, then you're gonna cool."
Since it the same package as in February not much play with setup. Probably they also don't want to change much till the vibration, resonance and the reliability issues are not solved .Ashwinv16 wrote: ↑02 May 2026, 18:51imma be honest, its very clear the chassis was what held them back today. Car has pace on par with the Haas despite the worn softs. Just couldnt turn into corners at all so had to be latter on throttle on corner exit. meaning got stuck behind. Also cooling issues meant lot off lift and coast.
Also the horrible cornering speeds meant soft tyres lasted way longer than it should have. Maybe they could change the set up to let the car use the tyres more and see if they can bring the pace up.Ashwinv16 wrote: ↑02 May 2026, 18:51imma be honest, its very clear the chassis was what held them back today. The Cadillac drivers were on the hard tyres. Perez complained he had no grip on them. He was holding up Stroll and Alonso the last 5 laps and it took a double boost to get by him at the end. The race engineers said the engine was critically overheating the last 10 laps and told the drivers to back off and get out of the slipstream.
