what? The red flag allows Charles to fix his wing and another chance to take lead into T1
I posted before the red flag. The SC alone obviously would have been a big loss.

Seems like they're not changing the front wing btw.
Well it's my theory that the loss of FW endplate in this generation doesn't cost you any performance . The endplates are there mostly to reduce outwash
Yes, that makes sense. Perez has gifted Chaz an out wash special...

Also why is the FIA investigating Charles, just such a non starter and if they really want to ensure track safety then send the flag out.

I thought the same thing. Instead of investigating Charles for driving in an unsafe manner, the FIA should investigate themselves for not making sure a dangerous car wasn't removed from the track.

Ferrari should be good for the first few laps, no? They seem to be able to warm the tyres very quickly

If there's another safety car 10 laps from now, Verstappen will be screwed. The others can put on medium tires. Verstappen has no tires left.
It doesn't turn.

Were the mediums new?

If not, surely they won’t go to the end very well.

Only 1 push lap from Q1.
It doesn't turn.

It's funny, an endplateless FW like that will inevitably shed a vortex that wasn't present before, IN THEORY, it could even have a beneficial floor-sealing effect, although it is unlikely that it will be coincidentally aimed in such a way that it does more good than bad (but that being said, they aren't changing that wing, are they?)...

Pretty uneventful restart in the end. Ham needed DRS from lap 1.
