another red flag and smoke from the car. Just 12 laps this week. They really are struggling.

Even Torro Rosso has done 17 laps just today (all be it 20 secs off).

Has newey gone too aggressive on the cooling?

Why are you being so nice?

It's almost as if not showing up was the better idea. Horrific beginning, but I do hope they get things sorted out in the next few days.

That looks more like a broken front right suspension.

To say the least.

Looks pretty fundamental.

Red Bull can't. Torro Rosso have done 17 laps. Still nothing compared to Ferrari and Merc

At 20 secs a lap slower than Ferrari and Merc too.

I bet any doubts Webber has/had about his retirement have quickly faded into obscurity

its just the picture angle and track incline etc. Autosport reported Riccardo checking the back of the car. He'd check the front if it was broken

from another angle

For marshals i think there are two buttons on the chassis (in front of the cockpit), one puts the gears in neutral, the other disengage the main battery.

Or maybe is something for pit crew, easy to see and reliable for information. i don't see that for marshals's use, in case of incident there will be some other kind of proceedings, like gloves or the former buttons..
It is for the marshals and the pit crews. Previouslly there was an LED light on the chassis about where the medical light is, but they moved it so it's more visible and the ones who maneuver the car don't have to get close to the chassis and lean over it to see the light.
Ok, but what if a car goes airborne and overturns like webber in valencia? I don't see that place a good one for heavy crashes, but surely they'd have their reasons
It was mentioned in one of the videos that is for marshals...

Wherever they put the light there is going to be a possibility that it wont be visible in the case of one particular accident. In the vast majority the top of the car, above the drivers head, is going to be visible / accessible. Even if its just that you can see a bright red glow on the drivers helmet.
