F1 is a constructors Championship first and foremost, If you have the fastest car, no shitting, your expected to win irrelevent of driver, if driver is bad... Well, Look at the rubbish Perez gets and you get the picture.....

Team and driver account for like 5 - 10 % max....
It's more like 50% of driver ability when it comes to Red Bull. Nevertheless, hybrid-Mercedes-like dominance was never seen before when they ran their engines underpowered so that they wouldn't lap the whole field several laps.

50 % is Max? so what your saying is, Redbull team is worse than Has, But Max is dragging them up, with perez giving 3 % less than Max right? so for LH and co, it was the car, but for Max its Max...

Cool.
It's fifty-fifty; you either win or not. As we can see from Red Bull's win ratio '21-'24, the driver can definitely matter—a lot. Same thing happened last season in competitive Aston Martin where just one driver dragged that car into podiums race after race.

So why is Alonso not on the podium now? he get --- over the last season, or was it really the car? Would Max have found that extra 1.6 secs Alonsos AM finished behind Max in his Redbull at Spa in q3 If Max was in that AM?

Did Lando and OP suddenly get better? or did the car get better?

Or does this 50 % extra only come from Max because he is some kind of Demi God like Maui?

So you think, If say Alonso was in the Redbull next to him, you think he will beat Alonso by 1.6 secs still? does Perez bring more than Alonso? to a car? Casue Perez is ahead in the drivers champ. But its not the car right?

Is Lando, OP, GR, and LH now better than Max casue they are now on the podium and Max isnt? Or is that the car only?

Drivers cant get more out of a car than what the car is capable of, Doesnt mean drivers bring nothing, good drivers are able to get the cars max performance ( Well as close as possible ) they cant make a car go faster, you cant just slap on some go faster strips and gain 50 BHP, or stick Max in a mini metro and expect him to win the f1 drivers championship in it.....

Yeah he beats Perez, but like seriously, who wouldnt, He didnt beat DR.... over the time they was team mates. Max didnt even get a pole, Didnt make the podium as much, didnt get as many points, blah blah... but liek Max is supposed to bring 50 % right? DR bring 55 % then? Does Lando bring 150 % given he demolished DR?

When the car is easier to drive as it is developed across the season, Lewis gets faster. Stop the press.

Will it be a lack of motivation when Russell inevitably finishes ahead of Lewis in multiple races post summer break?
That is a legit effect of racing for 18 years! Yes. Why not. We already know this and it is also why he is going to Ferrari.

Will you travel behind our carvan to the Ferrari thread next year Matt?
I've followed F1 since Schumi was fighting Mika and others for titles. Hell before that sat on my grandpa's lap on a Sunday.

I wish nothing but the best for LH and I hope his time at Ferrari bears fruit. But I'm also realistic and I think it's unfair to Russell the way LH fans play him down, especially if he beats their hero.

Max had one season between karting and F1, so it's clear he did his learning in F1, whereas normally drivers spend several years in their junior formulas. He went 1-1 against Ricciardo if we look at whole seasons. You can also look at what other drivers have done under 20 years old, if they even managed to reach F1.

Driver matters at Red Bull, it's as simple as that. Pérez was in great form when he arrived at the team and got crushed by Max.

Russell will have the stable all to himself next year as i dont think antonelli will be up to speed in his first year. It will be interesting to see how well he does with what should be a strong package. We are going to learn more about him. But not too long ago he was getting dropped in a race by yuki tsunoda in a rb while lewis was harassing checo. So hopefully russell fans wont be too surprised if they learn he is lacking in certain obvious areas. We will find out how much the driver matters I hope.

Next season, a car like this would put George in championship contender number one. He really is an underrated driver on the grid, because he has a habit of crashing when the pressure kicks in. However, in Spa, he didn't crack at all, although he had really old tires and Lewis on his gearbox. Without the DSQ and DNF at Silverstone, he would have all the stats on him against Lewis. It reminds me of Alonso and Ocon in 2022 when Alonso had constant problems with his car, and Ocon "achieved" his victory over him.

Well, yes, Lewis did DNF in Australia from outside the points in P11. In the same race, George went into the barriers from points in P6 because of an driving error or Alonso's "brake test", if I remember correctly.

It's too early to jump to conclusions of George's form after a weakened Lewis Hamilton. 2022 was Abu Dhabi mental damage, 2023 was bad car mental damage, and certainly the first half of 2024 Lewis was just in autopilot driving in misery until he can move on to Ferrari... It was only the win in Silverstone that seemed to have woken Lewis up again. Let's give him a few more races to come back to full strength before we see where George Russell really stands.

At this rate, a long list of excuses need to be made next year for Lewis at the Ferrari. Lewis won't be at Mercedes next year, so it's a moot point to discuss his relevance to George's readiness to win championship. Next year's car will be more tailored to George's needs and if the car is there to win races, George can certainly do it. Whether Lewis awakens or not at Ferrari remains to be seen. If Ferrari continues to be 4th best, Lewis would be resigned and complaining. Atleast so far, Mercedes seems to have awakened and that's good news for George.

Lol. Is he good enough for F1 or not?

The way some young F1 drivers are cherry picked and protected like boxers with undefeated records is BS imo.

Max was allowed to crash all over the place for years before he ever came good in a way no other Red Bull junior had the opportunity to.

Russell is a good driver in a good car but lets not forget he didn't score a single point in a williams before joining mercedes.compare to lewis he still have problems with tire saving .spa was the exception.kimi is six in f2 if he is the next big thing he need to go for champion

Because elite talents get leash. Max showed an elite talent from day one. Everyone on the grid knew he was before he had even stepped foot in F1.

Kimi will struggle initially in F1. It’s a heavy workload but that’s the gift and curse. But Toto has invested a lot in him and will take care of his talent

George hasn’t had constant car problems. His main issue this year, in terms of points. Was a car that was illegal and got DSQ.
A DSQ that may have been in some way, self inflicted.

Wrong facts. George scored points in Williams.

F1 is put up or shut up, Alonso could've snuffed Hamilton's top flight career if he didn't start "swimming" right away.
Not quite this good, but Piastri needed to at least show promise vs Lando to keep his rep.

Kimi will need to do something along these lines.
You could've had Sainz if you wanted to bring Kimi in slowly Toto, now you have no choices left.
