FP3 is in the day time so not really that representative, but its crazy how they seem to always perform better on Fridays... Are they really good at setting up the car on Fridays, or really bad at improving it from the initial setup? Or running too conservative ride heights on Saturdays? Hopefully qualifying is more like FP2 than FP3...
Alonso has always been good at finding the limits of the car earlier than other drivers.

If they actually raised the ride height then I have no idea why. Mercedes and Ferrari are basically running with no ground clearance

The mclaren is dragging on the ground with sparks going all the time too. Protecting the plank better somehow?

Cowell on Sky saying the 3rd sector is the problem for them. Both drivers losing 2-3 tenths in one corner.

Feels like all other teams found a second overnight, but I think part of that is other drivers not pushing as much on Friday.

Maybe they wear the plank more evenly, so they do not lose so much material to get banned

Several cars noted for yellow flag infringement. Investigation after the session. So dumb, what if someone else should have gotten into q2?

They found some time but it looks like Aston didn't gain any time or even lost some. They push on Friday as everyone else

Very solid first run in q2. Might be hope for q3 again with these lap times. Just 12 hundreths off Lando. But lando on old tires i guess.
