Max Verstappen has won the United States GP after leading as of the first round of pitstops. Lewis Hamilton came close to a proper challenge at the very end of the race but had to settle for second, ahead of Sergio Perez who completed the podium.
He always says stuff like this. I very much doubt he believes a word of it. Best ignored.
Not unless someone is wearing fanboy tinted glasses. Max's tyres fell off after 14-15 laps in the 2nd stint & he had to forced to pit by 20. Hamilton has a whopping 8 lap fresh tyres. Almost everyone except Hamilton pitted early - May way too early.
Hamilton has driven up to the 2second buffer. Agreed. Even if Hamilton can get close, Verstappen is not going to just let him by, and there are only 6 or so laps left.

And 8 Lap fresher tyres - Massive Massive. Unless Hamilton screws up really badly, this should be a fairly easy 5-6s win atleast ! If this was the other way around, I would easily bet on Max, Leclerc or Perez !
