Well to be fair this is an example of a driver thread that has merit. We are actually discussing the pairing of drivers in a strangely calm and intelligent way. Its probably because we are not trying to dissect frame by frame who hit who or whatever mid season. Its all speculation which is a good thing.

Angry threads have a 'feeling' I have got good at spotting. This one doesn't have that feeling.

Grosjean showed some brilliantly awesome dominant displays in GP2 last year; but there were times when brain fade kicked in too.

nico hulkenberg flight over the championship on his maiden season in gp2, but couldn't beat barrichello in f1...

Your point? I wasn't saying that it proved Grosjean was good. I was just stating the fact that he had awesome days in GP2.

Grosjean GP2 title was IMHO the least he had to do. He was on the best team, with absolutly no opponent (seriously any 2011 GP2 driver had a F1 level expect maybe Grosjean) and with a formula one experience and we all know that drivers grow a lot in formula one compare to lower series... This title was his only chance to get a seat in a high level serie for 2012.


Concerning Raikkonen needs to regain his speed, remember where he came from before Formula one: FR2.0 - 560kg, 190ch. A toy.
And you really think that he will struggle to came back from WRC where he was by far the faster driver but he fighted against his notes - ask citroen staff - to formula one? Come on... Even if he starts the season only with 95% of his speed, he should be a serious challenge for any middle field driver.

Grosjean should be be quick now. all the gp2 champs have proven to deadly in qualy. I honestly think he is going to out qualify kimi 50/50. Sometimes the unexpected becomes the expected. It will be clear to us by midseason though, guys are gonna be saying.. I should have seen that one coming!

2011 GP2 championship was done with any real contender. Seriously, the runnerup is Filippi. It was his 6th season of GP2. If he has any talent, we'd know it.
As I said, title was the least Grosjean could do.
