Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

That is interesting. They run high DF front wing but no dorsal fin and slotted sidepod vanes.

What about McLaren? Anyone know if they set these lap-times while testing the KERS? Just when everyone is complaining that they are behind schedule with development.

oooh, that RBR looks good...

Toyota has also gone back to multiple wings atop the engine cover, like in years past

Better shot of the RBR horns

Lastly, from a pic I saw on formula1.com, it looks like McLaren have finally copied the lower side pod extension, albeit in typical McLaren fashion... does anyone have a better picture?

I think what you see in that picture is the closed sidepod...

I think they should incorporate the horns into the paint scheme i.e. pant a face of a red bull on the nose with those horns! :D

Those RBR antlers are certainly the best looking out of the teams that have them.

McLaren have space age ones
Hondas are like Sea Gulls
BMW Sauber well those look like they should be on a deer in the Highlands of Scotland
RBR seem to have got the look just about right i think, not imposing aesthetically, but with the function critically being used.

Interesting to see Newey using such apendices in his design. In his time at McLaren it seemed like they used a much more clean shape then the others in the field.

One thing i have noticed is the diffrent connecting rod that the STR has over the RBR for the bridge wing on the front wing:

And is this a new Toyota rear wing??? Well the little black square thing under the centre of the rear wing.

I wonder if a bridge wing across RBR's antlers would be legal. It would seem to place downforce right over the suspension instead of the cantilevered effect of the front wing...

The antlers are to direct airflow to the rear wing not to create downforce itself.

Is it just me? :? I hope it's good for racing, because it makes me wink when I see it.

If somebody has posted about this, please tell me which thread I should add this post to.
