That vid has been removed = error 404. The screenshot is from the 'The Deadliest Crash ..' video which is not the one I am looking for. The video shows the same stuff as marcush's German tv program showed = the same as Wiki shows. Hawthorne was the real cause.

Thanks for the History Channel vid. It is not the one I saw which has recently discovered film of the crash. History has an excellent graphic of the chain of events which is even clearer than the one I was looking for.

Hawthorne was the real cause.
No he wasn't...I'll repost the vid. I didn't realize I'd pulled it.
The sequence you are talking about is where they took photos and reconstructed them into a moving picture.

That was really a tragic accident which Switzerland still pays those days, because it is forbidden to have races on closed circuits. Nearly 60 years after... :(
