Can there be a 3 stopper? Used Mediums or Softs & Fastest laps maybe. There is no way Verstappen is going to hold of Hamilton. Mercedes is a clearly quicker car except on full fuel when they were sort of equal. And RB pitted way too early. Should be a comfortable 8-10s margin victory for Hamilton. He will get past Max by Lap 49-50 & then pull 1.5s+ on 8 lap newer tyres !
Hamilton has driven up to the 2second buffer. This is where he'll struggle to get close enough to try a pass, let alone taking it easily as you suggest.
The tyres fall off, Degradation is crazy high & overtaking is very easy & DRS is quite potent here.

And 8 Lap fresher tyres - Massive Massive. Unless Hamilton screws up really badly, this should be a fairly easy 5-6s win atleast ! If this was the other way around, I would easily bet on Max, Leclerc or Perez !
He can't get close enough because of the long run of corners between T1 and T11. That's turbulent air acting as a buffer for Max. Degradation would need to be 2 seconds / lap for Hamilton to be able tog et close for the overtake.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

I do. Depends on how much VER has taken out of the tyre. Last 2 laps will decide

8 Lap differential is atleast 1-1.5s, should be easily done through T1 or T12. If he can't get it done in COTA with 8 lap fresher tyres, then he won't.

I am surprised that Max is hanging on. Maybe Lewis pushed too hard early or Max managed his tyres better.

Less than 3 laps left. Verstappen has got this, easy. The Mercedes "advantage" was really just an offset in tyre strategy.

Verstappen's tyres seem fine to me, he's just managing the drive from the corners before the long straights.

In that case, the Red Bull must be 1.5 seconds / lap faster than the Mercedes because they are doing the same lap time.
