You all are really celebrating too early. Lets just hope they get themself back up the order. Hopefully they manage to be fourth this year. My opinion is, that they dont need Alonso back. Both drivers are doing good job and they are well blended with the team - being good team players to each other as well.

And no, Alonso would not get a podium in this car so far, that is more or less a fact.

It's funny though seeing him trying to find excuses just to produce negativity after every single event for Mclaren's success. My message to Goran is sit back and relax and enjoy seeing Mclaren on clear 4th as it is the best of the rest in the whole package.

Im afraid they have failed with the tyre selection. Do they have any fresh medium and hard tyres left? High temperatures are aparently eating up the tyres, and they only took 2 sets of hard and medium compounds with them. This might be a problem.

Anyone with F1TV can share an onboard lap of the car? I really want to see how it handles through the tricky sections. It's annoying that the midfield doesn't get much coverage on Sky. Every time Sainz was on a hotlap it was either going to commercials or switching to something else.

I don't remember the last time being so excited by McLaren performance... I know it's still early to say they are back, they are still way off where they should be, But I'm starting to get the feeling of that old, competitive McLaren... when they were a force of nature

They have to use at least 2 compounds, so I’m sure they remembered... it’s not their first rodeo...

People call back for Alonso... they forget McL already have a Alonso-like driver, and he is doing great. Feels like they really made a good choice with drivers. Everything fits like clockwork.

Sainz is a lot faster than most people give him credit for, he's just had some bad luck.

On the upside now they've show some pace we'll probably get a few better photo's of the updates

The long run pace seems to be very good as well, it may be genuine pace.
