Not much info for Ferrari anywhere... They were doing short runs and pitstop and back out all the time...

If Sutil caused this crash they should, slap him in the face with some of the broken parts. But lets wait for the verdict.

Will be interesting to see if anyone is able to break 1:20 here. I don't think anyone is going to push it just yet

I've read somewhere that all of the teams are running their engines on 70-80% power as it is just the first test and the cars will sound much better by the time we reach the first race as the teams will use 100% of the power by then

if I was told to bet for the first win of the season I would bet for AMG Mercedes surely. They seems to have the best consistent, reliable, and fast power unit so far.
I wish this season isn't as bored as 2013 but with Mercedes dominating.

I'm sure this is why Lotus didn't bother showing for the first test, they expected teething issues? This first test has been just about a wash for all Renault teams.

Isn't really a coating I'd call it a heatshield / insulation

I'm staring to think that Renault problems are bigger then they are letting on. I hope for the sake of Renault that the problems are caused by design flaws on their part.

Used very commonly on aircraft bleed air ducting. The outer metal is most likely titanium or inconel, underneath there is probably a Refrasil blanket or similar silica based insulator. Good for approximately 2000°F/1100°C.
