At least Hamilton seems to be confident in the car again which is good. Also said that the car has improved in all areas

Paraphrasing the team, the w14 is a unpredictable car. it reacts completely differently from lap to lap and corner to corner. George has a lot more recent experience that Lewis when it comes to crap cars (caugh caugh williams). As far as I'm aware he also hasn't had any serious accidents. IMO he is just better at driving a car that's trying to kill you.
Precisely, RUS is just more of a ROS type in that speed maybe doesn’t come as naturally and needs to be learned. That’s a better reasoning for RUS downswings this yr than this Williams car experience theories. He needs a bit more time to acquaint himself with the updated car.Venturiation wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 10:59the car isn't the problem the team confirmed
George is the problem he isn't good in this tricky track and can't get a lap together
I think it a simpler thing. George like Valterri and Nico befote him has a driving style that heats up the tyres better than Hamilton. That's the only explanation for me why sometimes he's quicker while HAM struggles and vice-versa.
RUS gap to HAM is bigger than PER to VER. Still some more learning to do it seems.Hammerfist wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 20:22Lewis with a different approach to turn 11 and finally nailed turn 15 which was so troublesome yesterday. 0.069 down. Not bad at all. There were still a few corrections needed throughout that final lap so more time could have been had. The car is still pretty nervous and twitchy.
Russell ran used softs, hence the gap.
Yea, mini slide out of 9 and 15.Hammerfist wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 20:22Lewis with a different approach to turn 11 and finally nailed turn 15 which was so troublesome yesterday. 0.069 down.

Per was also on used. Both of them struggled for pace yesterday so didn't have fresh tires.Hammerfist wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 20:49Like i said russell was on used softs.
