sauber’s strategy and pits was much better.IntrinsicVoid wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025, 17:49Abysmal from Leclerc today, props to Hamilton to getting max out of the car, Niko seemed to control everything, he did mega mega job.
i think he probably pitted for softs 1 lap too early. he lost 3s just from the pit exit. on top of that he had a few offs after copse/maggots complex.
Definitely he pitted one lap early in the second stop and 1 lap late in the first stop which put him in 7th. He should have been 4th or 5th after first stop
he also couldnt pass hulk when they were both on inters cause the car would just keep snapping. car is terrible in mixed conditions but Lewis did the most he could with it
yup, after the first stop he was asking the team why they waited so long to pit himismail1991 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025, 17:53Definitely he pitted one lap early in the second stop and 1 lap late in the first stop which put him in 7th. He should have been 4th or 5th after first stop
Depends of whose idea it was to pit him for slicks.IntrinsicVoid wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025, 17:49Abysmal from Leclerc today, props to Hamilton to getting max out of the car, Niko seemed to control everything, he did mega mega job.

Reasonable people will judge based on the context of history, not just one session. People will be more forgiving of Leclerc for this cuz he generally does very well. Drivers are allowed to have bad days. What drivers aren't allowed to have is prolonged lackluster performances.DGP123 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025, 17:45Yep, deserves credit for that today. We know what the reaction would be like if Hamilton had performed like Leclerc today.ScuderiaLeo wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025, 17:41I think Hamilton did the most he could given the car and track conditions. Verstappen, Russell, Leclerc all failed, he's the only one who was able to keep it on track up there except for the McLarens.
i dont know if ham could have caught him if he didnt go off in turn 3, the track was still too wet to go full out with the softs imo by then. i think where it went away from him was ferrari pitting him 1 lap too late and dropping him to 7th place. either way the car is terrible in mixed conditionsismail1991 wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025, 18:01Anyways, Hulk deserved it drove a clean race. Ham had the chance but the mistakes of the strategy and his off in turn3 costed him
.Ferrari, shocking and undriveable in the wet, but a great race by Hamilton with what he had to work with. The podium (and the streak of podiums at Silverstone) is interrupted both because Lewis couldn’t attack Hulkenberg on intermediate tires and then because of those two big snaps at the end of the race. Up to this point, we had seen a cautious Lewis, reluctant to push, but at his home race, he tried, and the car reminded him why he usually doesn’t
