I don't think I've ever seen that happen to Hamilton before. :wtf:
He just confirmed the rears locked up and it was the first time that's happened(rear lock causing spin) to him in F1.
last time i saw him snap spin on braking was germany 2014 when his brakes failed. shame....

Both drivers complained about the rear locking during fp1 and now this happens in SQ. Was this an issue before the break? It's been a few weeks but I don't remember this being a problem..

Pretty horrific. Even if it wasn’t faster, it would have been nice for the car to be more drivable. It’s seemingly worse as both drivers experiencing locking.

P4 is the best position we can get today, nowhere near the pace of the top teams but they're ahead of the midfield. Good work to Leclerc especially since the car is unstable today. Unlucky for Hamilton, seems like the spin wasn't his fault and I'm sure Ferrari could've gotten a P4- P5 here otherwise.

Maybe they just haven't found the correct set up yet but I was expecting more immediate comfort with the spec considering they had a filming day to test it.

Gap to Piastri is obviously large. Bryan said T8 and T12-14 are the bulk of the losses, and we have to see the magnitude once the data is available. Trying to find something positive, there will be scope to dial in the rear over the weekend.

Podium or even P2 could be an option, have to see race pace tomorrow.

Well at least Spa is a track where the drivers have been very good. It was one of Leclerc's best races last season. And it's not like Ferrari have been hurting for race pace this season.

But the only way to get a podium is if it turns out Red Bull has bad deg. No way they're catching up to McLaren...

I wonder if an engine braking issue caught Lewis out!

I think we should consider ourselves lucky Merc crapped the bed today. Have a feeling we might have even gone backwards with the car.
