Anyone thinking that it's the car must have a look at how Bottas was destroyed by his team mate. That shows us two things: Hamilton undoubtedly is a master of rain and Bottas is not even close to being a match for him, at least in such conditions. Lewis ripped apart the whole grid.
There was or is no doubt that Lewis is the current generation's rain meister after Schumacher.
Some people have the intiusion to find the limit consistently when the conditions are changing every corner

What a car that McLaren is and what a stellar job those two have been doing. Confidence inspiring for Sainz.
Riccardo is always so poor in Wet and Ocon is generally faster in the same conditions. Hope Ocon continues the good run.
Such uselessness idiots at Racing Point. Less said the better it is. Put some good drivers and that car can do wonders.
Kvyat doesn't deserve to be on the grid.
They are going to get Merc engine in 2021 or 2022? i forgot
Once they get it, it will be challenging for win.

And another stand out performance was from Ocon, beating Riccardo and constantly in the top 5 was fun to watch
2021, so. they will have a difficult year next year (again) trying to bolt a PU that is quite different to a chassis designed for a Renault. In history, McLaren isn't the best at engine swaps...
If that’s based on their change from Honda to Renault in 2018, the issues with the MCL33 weren’t related to the change in PU... So I wouldn’t use that as a reference of how good their engine swap would be... In addition, they are having plenty of time to plan it properly and they are doing the change on what seems to be a good chassis... I don’t foresee them having many issues with the swap and could actually move forward significantly from it.

In fact, I suppose it’s possible Hamilton wins this year and next, retires, and then Russell steps on and carries right on where Hamilton left off. Could be that Verstappen never wins a world title.
I think that is very possible as long as he is stubborn enough to not see RB is never going to get near a WDC again.

He might indeed go the Stirling Moss route.
Stirling was a gentleman.

It is 100% inline with what you said. Else you would have said Bottas/Hamilton in every marketing campaign.
No not even close, Hamilton is a lot more marketable than Bottas.
So if Bottas was the 6x WDC Hamilton would still be more marketable? :wtf:
You honestly don't get it. the 6 WDC is only but part of the reason he is more marketable. He is out in the public eye far more often than most of the other drivers. He has high profile interests/business outside of F1, and he is far more talkative than some of the drivers.

F1 is lucky to have him tbh. He’s probably the only current driver most people that don’t follow the sport could even name and certainly the only one who has crossed over into more mainstream culture.

So true, he has global marketability, unlike others whom are marketable in just one country (the country they came from)

He throws the car in to most corners and then catches it, hence on the limit at every corner and getting the maximum... reminds me of how Schumacher used to drive in wet track

Yes, his activism. How could we forget about it.

And if you really think Merc doenst care if it is Lewis or Valtteri you are the one that is not getting it.
True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.
