Carbon Fiber resists temperatures around 200 celsius.

Exhaust Gasses can reach temperatures upwards of 600-700 degrees Celsius.

You can't use Carbon Fiber for your exhaust even if you wanted to.

this does not belong in this thread. Baseless speculation and totally pointless. Please take it elsewhere

Was there any confirmation (pictures) that McLaren trialled more than one floor version?
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

from mclaren, a decent amount of rake i have to say, just saw a test round up video through the mclaren app and there they mentioned they did indeed test the complete car as i understand on the AVL test rig/dyno in Austria for 3-4 days

They definitely have quite considerable rake.

simple photoshop meassure and they are running around 1.9-2.1° rake angle, im not judging if its good or bad or anything, im maybe just a bit surprised with their longer floor this year. I quess if they can seal it, its a positive sign, and the rear definitly looked ok during testing. I need to check compared to last year, but the reason they "may" be running more rake can be to make the front end stronger. Checo mentioned how insane the rb cars frontend are, likely as mentioned by many, due to the fact, that the more rake the closer the fw gets to the ground and the more effctive it becomes

I think the bottom green line is a bit misaligned (but as you said, just a simple look) aft it stops shy of the center and is already kissing the yellow, front it stops at the centerline and still is below the yellow band, so it might even be a tad more. But is car perpendicular to camera, is it braking, etc. All influence the rake angle.

Will be interesting to see, McL seems to have the most rake from all merc engined teams.
