Will the team have perfected the new suspension system in first attempt? Testing will tell everything.
Big ask, but they better have it figured out by Q3 in Oz…

T4 in Bahrain has negative camber and is high traction with understeer built into it, i agree with you that if that’s a problem it will show up there.
Interesting with that lap from Lewis in mind

Watching with a delay. Is the understeer present?

@berrageiz noted similar from Lewis early runs.

Early days and somewhat expected with the suspension change. Also hard to know fuel loads. Hopefully team can dial it out if it is an issue. The larger gap between testing and Aus might serve Ferrari well if the need to fiddle with the suspension internals.

Lots of issues at T4 including understeer and snaps/twitches

Cheers. Have to see how it progresses over the next three days.

how does ferrari still seem to have understeer if the angle of front wing looks more than other like redbull.

RB suffered from understeer last year after the dominance of the first few races.

These cars are very sensitive.

None of the cars have looked particularly good in T4 so far, it's just the nature of the corner.

Teams are working to determine what “ basic” balance the car has, the most telling will be the faces of the drivers and the team.

Seems to me that the car is very stiff especially when the camera is from behind in several acceleration areas its bumping.
I suppose they have a fixed suspension setup today and the see the aero correlation etc

C3
1: 36.638
1: 36.850
1: 36.278
1: 36.797
1: 36.630
1: 36.525
1: 37.140
1: 37.795

These are the same as the 'softs' for the race last year, right? Cuz if so, assuming anything like a full fuel 1st stint, the race times last year for Leclerc were:

L2 - 1:36.862
L3 - 1:38.062
L4 - 1:37.752
L5 - 1:38.131
L6 - 1:37.782
L7 - 1:38.957
L8 - 1:38.136
L9 - 1:37.844
L10 - 1:37.884

Though if it's not full fuel 1st stint-esque thing, then the 2nd stint in the race last year was consistent mid-high 1:36's basically the entire way on hard tires, which is more comparable.

SF24 Bahrain spec is much slower than the Abu Dhabi spec I think at least 0.5

Hamilton immediately collected data at different speeds via rakes behind the new front.
FER, MCL, and I would say RBR are configured with thinner wings than everyone at the rear, which leads to early sliding on rear limited but is not indicative factor
FORZA FERRARI!
