Leclerc well adjusted and performing well with the new suspension, but Mclaren is just unreal around Hungaroring.
They are still trying new things, presumably to gather knowledge for the 2026 car: LEC had an unloaded RW than HAM in FP1, and then both ran with it in FP2.
However, what they don't mention is the fact that since Mugello, they have been conducting trials with the new/modified rear suspension. The rumor is that they still haven't run the car at the ride height it was designed for, and therefore haven't achieved the optimum DF levels they were getting out from the WT and CFD. And the proof of that rumor is that since the Spa Sprint race until here in FP3, we couldn't see sparks coming out of the floor. Some said that now the "deleted" new floor aimed for Zanvoort was designed around the new/modified/updated rear suspension, but they decided not to build it further due to the reasons that it would not get enough performance increase and that the money could be better spent on the 2026 car. And the final reason was that even without this floor, they could not lose the 2nd place in WCC, and this upgrade could have brought only occasional wins in certain few favorable conditions for the car in the upcoming races ...
