Can't say I agree with this at all. I'm a fan of the Monaco Grand Prix, I think it's a race that highlights the consistency of the drivers. To be able to complete a race weekend at Monaco without any mishaps in itself is a win. We get equally dull races at brand new Tilke-domes, will this become a new rule for the remainder of the season in 2027 if we get two thrilling Monaco GPs now?

I fear if this produces exciting Monaco GPs then it'll be deemed a success and the powers that be will begin thinking of other daft gimmicks to "spice up the action". That's the problem with modern sports and today's viewership. We can't have dull sporting events now and then. Everything has to be clippable for TikTok and turned into a Hollywood blockbuster production documentary. #-o

I don’t mind this change, I doubt it’ll make much difference, but it does add an extra element to the strategy.

Not sure where to put this, but here's sim run on the finalised layout for Madrid. Seems they got Lance Stroll to do the driving for some reason...

It doesn’t look like there are any overtaking spots.

Has anyone heard the abomination that is the new opening credits song for Sky F1?

Anyone else feel the entire broadcast has just been diluted down to mass American market in the last decade?

I miss the old F1.

It's just another bit of music that doesn't really relate to the sport. The thing about the old intro using The Chain is that it built up like the start of a race. There was a connection to the idea of a building of tension and then the burst of energy at the start of the race. This song above is just a piece of pop that doesn't bring any of that tension/excitement.
