Ferrari F60

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

i agree
i could have eaten some carbon fiber and crapped a better diffuser!
10th and 15th after all that "hard work" they were talking about! Ferrari should probably pack their stupid motor home and forget about this year, just like honda did in 2007

hard to spot, but it seems to be a DDD

I don't see anything showing much of an improvement according to the free practice time sheets. It makes me believe the jagged edges on the diffuser are there to prevent pigeons from landing on it during the race.
Skeptical scrutiny is the means, in both science and religion, by which deep thoughts can be winnowed from deep nonsense.

looks like a tripple plane but might just be light reflection tricks.

Rear wing seems to be like tripple plane in few runs for both drivers:

Tripple plane? Cant be, they're not allowed anymore.

The rules state a maximum of two planes I thought.

hmm...It might be a plane with a hole cut across it, making it look like two planes.

Your comments might be a little harsh. As has been discussed elsewhere, you can not just slap on a DDD without making other changes -- some of them very significant.

BMW is certainly a team with plenty of resources, but according to Autosport:
The chassis has also seen a weight reduction programme to aid weight distribution for the re-sited KERS system. However, the car has yet to appear with a double-deck diffuser, whose introduction has been delayed for two races.

high resolution picture of the ferrari intern diffusor

being the first attempt of the diffusor it doesn't look well developed and judging from costa interview saying that they started to work on the DD way back in dec when they appeared on other cars it is little bit disappointing considering force india managed to produce a more complete DD then ferrari
